Hello Strangers is operated by Akshay Baldia. Contact akshaybaldia@gmail.com. By accepting the rules in the app and using the service, you agree to these terms and the community guidelines. The privacy policy explains data handling.
Eligibility and beta access
You must be 18 or older and in India. Access also requires an invitation and operator admission. The initial beta is limited to at most four personally known adult testers in manually supervised sessions, with no more than two simultaneous conversations as an operating limit. These are pilot arrangements, not a promise of public availability or certified age verification. Do not misstate age, share invitation codes or help a minor access the service.
The app uses a persistent guest identity. A nickname, age answer, country badge or admission decision does not guarantee another person's identity, age, citizenship or trustworthiness. Clearing app data or reinstalling can lose access to the guest identity; it is not a deletion request.
Conversations and conduct
Use the service lawfully and respectfully. Do not send prohibited content or material you lack permission to share. Other participants can copy what you send. Conversations are not end-to-end encrypted: the operator can monitor active and retained chats for safety, and Staff messages are labelled.
You can leave, block and report without paying. Reporting remains available for recent retained conversations after leaving. Blocking prevents rematching with the same known account; it cannot guarantee recognition of a person who creates a new identity. Automated filters can make mistakes and do not replace human review.
Availability and restrictions
Matching may be unavailable because of supervision, maintenance, connectivity, region checks or free-service quotas. We may pause the service or warn, restrict or suspend an account after reviewing safety concerns or rule violations. Report totals alone are not proof of misconduct. Where appropriate, we explain the reason and offer the appeal route. We may preserve specific evidence for safety or a valid legal requirement under the retention policy.
Price and advertising
Basic chat, themes and safety/privacy controls are free. Purchases and subscriptions are disabled; the Curiosity pack is not offered for sale. There are no user-to-user payments. Discover may display AdMob ads as described in the privacy policy. Any future purchase offering would require updated notices and checkout information before activation.
Your rights and changes
You may stop using the service and request deletion. Leaving a room does not erase all records immediately. We explain material changes and request fresh acceptance when required. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. These terms do not impose a blanket liability waiver or mandatory arbitration.
