Community guidelines

Effective 19 September 2026 · Version 1.0

Hello Strangers is for lawful, respectful adult text conversations. These rules apply to messages, profile choices, reports and use of the service.

  • No harassment, threats, hate, stalking, coercion or impersonation.
  • No child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sextortion, trafficking or CSAM. Never request, share or facilitate this material or conduct.
  • No pornography, non-consensual intimate content, doxxing, identity-document sharing or instructions facilitating harm.
  • No scams, requests for money, OTPs or UPI PINs, suspicious installation/payment links, spam or attempts to evade moderation.
  • Respect another person's decision to leave. Do not evade a block or suspension, pressure someone to move unsafe contact elsewhere or help a minor obtain access.
  • Do not submit knowingly false reports or misuse another person's account or invitation.

When something is wrong

Use Leave to stop the conversation, Block to prevent rematching with the known account and Report to send the concern for review. You can report a recent retained conversation after leaving. Include a brief explanation if useful; do not include credentials or unnecessary identity documents. You can also contact akshaybaldia@gmail.com.

We review available evidence and context, then may warn, restrict or suspend an account and preserve necessary evidence. Report counts alone do not prove a violation. You may appeal through the app or support. Filters can miss harm or reject harmless text; no safety guarantee is made.

Protect yourself

Never share OTPs, UPI PINs, bank details, identity documents or your home address with strangers. Never send money or install apps shared in chat. The operator can review conversations for safety, but the service does not advertise continuous or emergency monitoring. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services.

Read the separate child-safety standards for exploitation concerns and the privacy policy for report retention.
