Child-safety standards
Hello Strangers prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in every form. This includes grooming, sexual solicitation of minors, sextortion, trafficking of children for sexual exploitation, and sharing, requesting or facilitating child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Adults-only access does not remove this responsibility.
Report a concern
Use the in-app Report action, including the recent-conversation route after leaving. A report does not require payment. You may also contact the designated child-safety contact, Akshay Baldia, at akshaybaldia@gmail.com, with subject “Hello Strangers — child-safety concern.” Include a report/conversation reference if available and a brief description.
Do not attach, download, circulate or resend illegal material through ordinary email. Do not ask a child to repeat sexual details or supply an identity document. If there is immediate danger, stop contact and seek help from local emergency services; Hello Strangers is not an emergency-response service.
Our response
We prioritize child-safety concerns, review the available evidence, act to stop harmful contact and restrict violating accounts/content, preserve only necessary evidence in restricted storage, and make reports to the appropriate authorities where required by applicable law. We handle valid child-safety requests and platform inquiries through the designated contact. A report count alone does not determine guilt.
The initial service uses invitation and operator adult admission. If adulthood is uncertain, access is not approved. A credible report of a minor triggers prompt restriction/review; we do not use identity-document uploads as a beta admission method. No claim is made that an age answer or invitation independently verifies age.
Availability and accountability
Akshay Baldia is responsible for this policy and the monitored contact route. We do not advertise a round-the-clock moderation team. Matching is limited to supervised availability; urgent concerns about retained conversations can still be reported outside a session and are prioritized. Applicable reporting/removal obligations are not suspended because matching is closed.
The community guidelines describe prohibited conduct and privacy policy describes evidence retention. For account decisions, use the appeal route. These standards are service rules, not a claim of independent legal certification.
